$1,000,000 – Femur Fracture Sustained by Tree Trimmer – This was a case where an unlicensed tree trimmer was hired by a roofing contractor to trim eucalyptus trees in Aptos, California.  While attempting to trim the trees 60-80 feet in the air, our client fell to the ground sustained compound fractures of the femur and tibia.  The reason for the fall was failure to inspect the trim trimming equipment, which failed, causing the fall.  The firm was able to resolve the matter against the roofing contractor for their policy limits.
